It was just over a year ago; The Walking Circle was in a bit of a crisis. Not more than a few days after I had accepted a new job, the hosting provider I used for The Walking Circle stopped streaming my videos. Since the email system was also down, no one could tell me. [...]

 

Look Around

For the first time in months, I can safely say that you can–once again–take a look around thewalkingcircle.com. I am updating all of the Glossary and Timeline entries before importing them into the new site, and the results have been good. It looks even better on the entries I have in front of me tonight, but it will be a couple of days before they move to the live site.

 

Working on it…

I know that the looks of things are still off–in a big way. This is because I am pushing some technical back end stuff to the live site as I get it completed so I can test it on the live site. When I do this, I am just taking how everything looks at the time and tossing it live as well. This would be an excellent way to make things work, and a great a way to code, because you get really quick feedback. But, since I have a full time job, it means that I get only about an hour to work on the site on any given day, and just a few hours on the weekend. So things look a little rough for longer than I would like.

 

What is coming…

So, where are the lessons? The glossary? The videos? That previously made this site. They are temporarily retired while I work on a complete overhaul of the infrastructure and the appearance of The Walking Circle.
