I've been practicing Xingyiquan for a few years now on my own, and every so often for giggles I'll google "xingyiquan" and see what comes up. Great summary, I like your emphasis on the ordinary and practice with or without a master. I feel the same way.

Yin style Bagua is wonderful! And He Jinbao is probably one of the best. Unfortunately, I don't have the desire (right now) to learn new Bagua changes, and prefer to remained focused on only a few. For the past few weeks, the Single Palm Change and the Standing Palms from Earth Dragon Canon are all I have practiced.
I love the explosion of Yin Style Baguazhang clubs around the nation. Xie Peiqi was a wonderful inspiration, and He Jinbao benefited from this association. We should all be so lucky!
